Salt Lake City Fire Station #3

This is a new Salt Lake City area facility with three apparatus bays and associated fire support spaces housing up to 10-13 firefighters/EMTS in Sugarhouse, Utah. The station includes a police component and a multipurpose (training, community, command center) space and is designed to attain LEED Gold as well as Net Zero status to become the second Net Zero fire station in the United States. MOCA Services was the Owner’s Representative and Project Manager for the design and construction during this project.

Other services provided include management of the design and construction process and project programming through construction close-out and commissioning. MOCA Services facilitated and coordinated design and construction activities with the Owner, the contractor, and the architect through weekly construction progress meetings to ensure that the project remained within the parameters of schedule and budget set forth by Salt Lake City.

MOCA Services worked closely with stakeholders, the Chamber of Commerce, and the community to deliver a space close to its originality and historic presence in an urban environment. In the end, we saved the client about $300,000 to $400,000 upon completion.
